- Ingredients: What exactly is in the spices?
Unfortunately we cannot tell you that. Well we would but then we would have to . . . .
Sambar Powder: red chillies, coriander, fenugreek, yellow split peas, chickpeas, asafoetida, turmeric, curry leaves.
Chilli Rub: urud dal, oil, red chillies, tamarind, white sesame seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves and salt.
- Perishability: Are they perishable?
No, they are not, but like all spices their potency and smell will reduce over time.
- Usage: Will they stink up my house when I use them?
If you are asking this question you should probably not consider buying this product. Seriously, they will not. Quite the opposite. When you have a dinner party and use the spices before people come over they will all comment on how "complex" the flavors seem to smell and how great of a cook you must be.
- Heat: Are they overly spicy — can I cook for my kids with them?
Many kids, including ourselves grew up eating spicy food (and we turned out just fine!). Again, seriously, they are fairly spicy. Everyone has a different spice spectrum. We advise going easy at first and easing into it.
- Products: Will you have other products coming out soon?
More are in the works. We are taking things slow for now and perfecting our systems. If we had our druthers we would have a whole line of pickles and rubs.
- The Mom: If the spices are created by your mom why is there a picture of you on the front page?
Great question. We have no answer for this one.
- Samples: Do you give out free samples?
